Hi, my name is Brenda and I'm a traveler, an upcycler, a sewer, a creator, a lover of new fun ideas, a wife and a mom of a beautiful 4 year old boy that I adore.
I had the idea of making milk crate covers after visiting a very crafty friend of mine that lives in Melbourne, Australia. She made beautiful seat covers to create additional seating for guests. I liked the idea right away! Using milk crates to create versatile seating and space for storage, ticked off all the right points for me:

Shortly after, our little family went traveling , we landed in Bali. I thought here is place that I can create the design with the help of local business owners. My goals were to use local resources as much as possible and create something special that could be used in a versatile way, that would also put money back into the local economy.
For the material, I was looking to upcycle existing material for the covers, but found the availability quite limited. Instead I focused on finding the local business owners to pay a fair wage to and used a new heavy duty cotton in various colors and combinations to create a sleek versatile design. It's low cost, easy, versatile and beautiful seating for home or cafe.
